April 10 - October 20, 1811 in Madison County, Virginia. He married (1) Winifred Cowherd Abt. 1753 in Middlesex County, Virginia. She was born Bef. 1729 in Essex county, Virginia, and died Bef. August 22, 1801 in Madison County, Virginia. He married (2) Ann Smith August 24, 1801 in Madison County, Virginia.

Notes for Henry Lewis:

Henry Lewis was a Planter and Revolutionary War Veteran.

Henry Lewis was a Captain in the Revolutionary War (se DAR 277744). He built his home about four miles above Criglersville on the side of Double Top Mountain. After Henry married his second wife, Catherine Twyman, they built their home near Criglersville. The 1787 Culpeper County, Virginia tax list "C" shows that Henry was taxed for: 7 slaves over age of 16, 11 slaves under the age of 16, 8 horses, and 26 cattle. Henry Lewis also paid taxes for Henry Lewis, Jr, William Brown and Ben Holoday, source: "the personal Property Tax Lists for the year 1787 for Culpeper County, Virginia."
